I have to hold the connectors in the right spot so it can start charging. Appears one of the connector pin on the Fenix may have some sort of corrosion. It doesn't look the same as the other 3 pins. I contacted Garmin (Aust) and they said I can get a refurbished Fenix which has been 'refurbished to the same standard as a new one". Ultimately, it's Garmin's ultimate multi-sport watch, not the wilderness-wacking warrior that the solar and LED-equipped Fenix 7 is, although it's not far behind. The Fenix 7 series starts at $700
I use a Garmin fenix 5 pro and recently it's started refusing to charge when plugged in 😩 The only way I've found to get it charging again is to use a cotton bud with some alcohol hand gel on it to scrub the contact points on the watch (and even then, it's not reliable) - which suggests to me that the problem is sweat/dirt gunking up the charging point.
